In 2007, Zane and Angel Willis formed a small design company in Sierra Vista, AZ. These newlyweds, moving from west Phoenix, just starting out had heard from God to move. Shortly, after arriving in Sierra Vista, they began consulting and doing small design jobs in the local community while continuing to work their day jobs in the city. In 2009, with the birth of their first child James (read the miracle story here), Angel became a stay-at-home-mom; allowing her to focus on the business more readily. Zane continued to work in the commercial and government sectors as the primary bread-winner. In 2010, Ardent Media was contracted to design a new logo for the Battle Lab on Fort Huachuca. In 2011, Ardent Media secured its first large client project (Constant Look Radar System), Artic Slope Regional Corporation, again supporting the Battle Lab at Fort Huachuca; taking on its first sub-contractor. This was exciting project, but even more exciting was Ardent Media’s first peek into the world government contracting. It was after the completion of that project that Ardent Media began to work to secure more contracts of a similar nature. In 2011, Ardent Media secured its second contract with Sulphur Springs Valley Electric Company (SSVEC), supporting the Yes Fair project, continuing support in 2012. At the end of 2012, Ardent Media re-branded to become Ardent Communications in an effort to better communicate its growing areas of service. Now heading in 2013 and beyond, Ardent Communications is looking to diversify its portfolio, grow past the home-based business, and secure its future as a competitive design company in the area.
